Meet Robin Casey, Creative Memories Independent Consultant Extraordinaire!

This week in the "Craftlight" we feature Robin Casey, Creative Memories Independent Consultant extraordinaire.  Robin has been a consultant for over 12 years now and offers some great tips and advice for building and growing your consulting business.   Robin has provided her services at Classy Crops and events, as well as other scrapbooking events in the Atlanta area.

How long have you been consulting? I've been a consultant for 12 years

How did you get started? I wanted to be a direct seller for something when my last child turned 1. A friend was consultant with Creative Memories and I had told her if she ever needed to leave the business I would be interested in taking over.

What did you do wrong?  What I've done wrong is not knowing my customer. I once participated in a craft fair. This was not a good use of my time.

Income: I'm able to have all my scrapbooking supplies paid for by my business plus left over income that contributes to the household as well as special treats like vacations

What is your greatest success?  My biggest success comes from knowing my products. I only use Creative Memories products and I do test all of our products. So I can confidently say we have the best product or a not so good product. I think people appreciate my honesty.

Please share your greatest challenge: My greatest challenge is getting people to understand Creative Memories is so much more than just what people think of as scrapbooking!

Marketing success: I am in constant contact with my customers. I send out a couple of emails every month and I reward my customers for bringing me new customers.

Business advice: My best piece of business advice is do what you find works for you. What works for somebody else may not be the best path for you, but you do have to try lots of different things to find your own perfect way

What does the future look like for you? I continue to see new customers coming to me on almost a daily basis. I see myself doing what I'm doing for many years to come!
