Answer. Yes. If you want to sell your art at craft fairs or other venues to the end user you will need a Sales Tax Id and you may need to collect and pay taxes. Many fairs will require you to have a tax id and/or business license. You'll need to check in with the fair organizers. There are various tax laws/rules that apply based on your city, state and/or county. Be sure to check with your County Clerk's Office for additional information and requirements. Some of those rules can also make you exempt from paying taxes. Know the laws. Do your homework.
